One overworked video producer has had her personal video resignation go viral – and her employer responded in kind.
Marina Shifrin’s dancing resignation racked up more than 7 million views, and now her former employer has replied in kind.
Shifrin, who worked at Next Media Animation in Taiwan, recently quit her job with a video of her dancing around the office to the Kanye West song “Gone”. She cited long hours and unrealistic expectations as her reason for leaving.
"For almost two years I've sacrificed my relationships, time and energy for this job. And my boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets," Shifrin writes. "So I figured I'd make ONE video of my own."
Now her former employer, best known for their animations of news events, has responded with a video of other employees dancing in the same office – and specifying that they’re now hiring.
