A popular fad of the mid-1980s, experiential learning, may be headed for a comeback in the corporate world.

    I like the comparison of experiential learning to coaching. As a mature OD consultant I was trained by NTL, one of the most experiential experiences possible! Now, as an Integral Coach, I focus on providing actually practices that clients "do" in the workplace, followed by reflection and debriefs for embodiment. Yes, the format is much like experiential learning for groups, and it is solidly based on how human development works. I think of all my training programs as group coaching now.
