Canadian women may be breaking down barriers to win equal workplace opportunity - but that doesn’t mean they actually want to work in senior roles.

Before we jump to a conclusion, keep in mind that a CareerBuilder survey from this year showed that only 34% of workers wanted to get to senior management, regardless of gender. That indicates that proportionally more women are interested in leadership.

The headline might as well say "Thanks but no thanks say Canadians at work".

My first question when reading this article is .. where are the rest of the statistics? We need the whole picture. When you say only 20% of women want senior management roles, we need something to compare that to... The Randstad survey surely has statistics for men, also. Senior leadership roles are not for everyone, regardless of gender.
