A Halifax employer has sparked public debate across Canada about the work ethic of the younger generation

Well... her generation raised my generation. Not to mention, despairing over younger generations isn't an exactly new concept. I'll let Socrates handle this one:

“The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.”

Ask yourself: what's my responsibility in this situation? She was the owner, and her business closed. Make better staffing decisions and assume more responsibility for outcomes instead of placing the blame on the youth of today.
