Unfortunately the race to the bottom concerning wage rates, where "flexibility" and "work on your own terms" are cited as "benefits" for workers, too often simply means that such work produces economic "indentured slaves" who are forced to work for less and less the income disparity causes societal upheaval - riots, looting, violence, as the have nots rebel, and the have nots way outnumber the haves, no matter how many uniformed guards and police the haves can muster. This is no longer about maximizing profits for corporate bluebloods: this is bringing us to the brink of the kinds of violaence that the Middle East and african nations are being torn apart by. Poor people will evntually revolt. They have nothing left to lose.
