Our office received a resume that was perfect for the position that we were looking for. We called the guy up and invited him to town for an interview. He was very surprised at our call but accepted the invite anyway. During the interview he asked us how we got his resume. We showed him the resume we received and the candidate agreed that the details (contact, education, experience etc.) were all correct, but he didn't write it. Then a light went off and he started laughing. Apparently his mother had drafted the resume and sent it to us with the hopes that her son would get the job and move back home. The applicant was ~35 years old. We did offer him the position but he declined - he didn't want to move back.
