A HR manager has filed a lawsuit claiming she was fired from her previous employer for the strangest of reasons: following the rules.

    Is this becoming common in US and Canada?

    this happened to a friend of mine and was blackballed and never worked full time in HR again for a company.

    Fortunately he had enough smarts to go on his own to a successful career in facilitating consulting.

    For some companies the expectation is loyalty to the company, not the law. It puts HR in the difficult position that they are the ones responsible if things go wrong. Has anyone ever felt they have been put into this kind of situation?
