I am not sure the question is about working hard or not. My wife took time off work and I know her boss said it was very hard to fill her position within the company as she left a gap when she took time off. I think there are costs involved from a business perspective. I am not sure how to solve the issue but I am sure it isn't coming from being prejudice towards women I think its more about the dollar and the cost of hiring staff to fill the gap. at least that was my feel when I talked to the boss of my wife on this subject.
