As HR director at Jones DesLauriers Insurance Management, Kristin Coulombe has advanced the company’s HR agenda by facilitating change in the executive leadership structure – including hiring a new president – in preparation for future growth. She also ensured alignment of vision and values within the company, which led to the business growing from 90 to more than 250 employees in Ontario.
To create a more collaborative and inclusive work environment, Coulombe arranged the relocation of the office and included provisions for healthy food options and an on-site fitness facility to promote employee wellness. Most notably, Coulombe has been responsible for creating a sales university program, which allows the company to grow its own sales talent and generate new client revenue at a faster pace. She was also instrumental in the successful integration and alignment of HR practices into three Ontario brokerages acquired by the company between 2014 and 2016.
