Top HR champion joins industry event

One of Canada’s top HR advocates has been added to the line-up for a leading industry event, joining several other prominent figures who are driving innovation within the profession.

Brian Scudamore, founder and CEO of O2E Brands, was named the HR Champion of the Year at the most recent Canadian HR Awards – now, he’s set to speak at the upcoming HR Leaders Summit West.

Scudamore and Jerry Gratton – O2E Brands’ VP of people and culture – say they will be focusing on workplace culture and plan to offer practical, inexpensive strategies for improvement.

“I believe O2E Brands' success is built on people: having the right people on board and treating them well creates positive culture that impacts the morale, hiring, and productivity of any company,” said Scudamore.

“There have been times in the past when I didn’t focus on growing awesome culture or hiring the right people and the fallout showed me that culture is everything,” he added.

The event – due to take place in Vancouver next month – will also see senior HR heads from the likes of KMPG, ATB Financial and Freshii offer insight into a range of issues including succession planning, compensation strategies, and data analytics.

More information on the upcoming event – including details about speakers, schedule and registration – can be found online.
