Snoop Dogg enlisted to train Burger King employees

In a fast food kitchen, a big puff of smoke emerges. So too does an unexpected figure.

“What up dog. You know me. Snoop D-o double g, live and direct from the BK,” the American rapper announces.

Sure enough, Burger King is introducing grilled hotdogs to its menu, and to prepare employees they have recruited a ‘Grilled Dogs Training Ambassador’ - none other than Snoop Dogg.

Typically, the fast food giant makes videos for all its items, which explain how to prepare the food.

However, to give this experience a bit more bite, Dogg provides various ‘instructions’ for this ‘internal training video’.

Here’s a snippet: “Break out the burgers, because we are grilling this dog my way. Bikinis, martinis, zucchinis … you know the rest.”

Later, when he is talking about what can go on the hotdog (including ketchup, mustard and relish), Dogg unleashes this zinger: “You know relish ain’t nothing but chopped up pickles”.

The hotdogs will be sold in more than 7,000 locations in the US later this February.

While this may seem like a farfetched idea, HRM has spoken to the psychologist, speaker, and CEO of Seven Dimensions Eve Ash, who explained why adding humour to learning is so important.

She told this publication that humour facilitates engagement and a physiological response that makes people feel less of a threat.

Furthermore, the technology company Envato is another company which can attest to the importance of recording training sessions for staff.
