New research has highlighted that HR managers with Certified Human Resources Professional Credentials (CHRP) earn more and have enhanced workplace opportunities than their counterparts.
The study was jointly conducted by PayScale and the Human Resources Professional Association and revealed that earning a CHRP has a considerable positive impact on a HR professional’s career. It not only boosts their salary, but also opens the door to more opportunities and promotions, PayScale lead economist Katie Bardaro said.
“In general, obtaining certifications is a key way for white-collar workers to improve their career progression and we see this is definitely true for HR workers with a CHRP.” Indeed, the demand for earning a CHRP has almost doubled from 36% to 67% in the past five years.
Additionally, the report showed that nearly half of HR generalists with CHRP’s became HR managers within a five year timeframe. In comparison, just 21% of HR generalists without the qualification reached the same level of seniority within a similar timeframe.
