Colliers HR boss prepares for ‘exciting’ conference

Colliers HR boss prepares for ‘exciting’ conference Colliers senior director of HR Kerri Fraser has been announced as a panellist at the upcoming HR Leaders West Summit.

“We’re delighted that Kerri Fraser has agreed to share her 20 years of experience across a multitude of industries from hospitality to real estate” said event organizer Sandra Shymanska.

“Not only is Fraser sitting on the panel for succession planning and nurturing high-potential talent in an age of uncertainty, she was also the winner of the Best Employee Engagement Strategy award at the Canadian HR Awards 2016” Shymanska said.

Fraser is a firm believer in the importance of industry recognition.

“Having a premier awards event like the Canadian HR Awards that recognizes industry excellence only continues to elevate the HR profession and the significant impact innovative and progressive HR practices can have on an organization. It’s also a unique opportunity to bring industry leaders together to learn from each other,” Fraser said.

“I hope that it creates more of a community in sharing and learning from each other. This is critical if we want to transform this field of HR” she said.

Fraser will join Adam Taylor (managing director, DDI Canada), Lorne Rubis (chief people officer, ATB Financial) and Adam Charania (vice president, human resources, Rocky Mountaineer) on a panel focusing on succession planning, leadership development, talent mapping, and talent profiling.

Fraser is looking forward to HR Leaders Summit West.

“It’s very exciting to have this event in Western Canada for the first time. There has been a lack of events like this in Western Canada for senior HR leaders. The organizers have put a considerable amount of time obtaining input to create something outstanding and topics covered are relevant and top of mind for organizations” said Fraser.

HR Leaders Summit West has been researched and developed with direct input from industry’s senior HR executives across Western Canada and has been specifically designed to address the region’s workforce challenges.
