    The last thing this employee needed was to be fired. If the person really was that stressed and unbalanced, dismissal could put her over the edge...remember OC Transpo?
    A better approach would be disciplinary warning in conjunction with a review of internal policies on harassment and violence with three days at home to chill out and think about it. I would imagine Hydro One has access to an EAP and the employee could have been encouraged to seek a bit of counselling there too. I wonder why Hydro One chose such a heavy handed approach with an employee who was obviously in a fragile emotional state?
