    I think using technology, social media included, in the HR world is savvy. The key, however, is to make sure that the technology is giving you the result that you want. So in applicant screening, our goal is to find the top candidates that will most likely be able to not only carry out the tasks of the position, but also fit with our organization culture. So as long as the social medium, in this case Snapchat, allowed to you do this, then it is a great idea.

    The downside, however, is that using one specific app can artificially limit your candidate pool. In this case, perhaps there are some stellar bartends in the Dublin area who do not use Snapchat.
